Obituary for Abigail "Abby" Hankins Boone

Abigail “Abby” Hankins Boone, age 22, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 in Dallas. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:30 pm at the Windsor Park Baptist Church located at 750 W. Pleasant Run Road in DeSoto. Interment will follow in Little Bethel Cemetery in Duncanville. Visitation with the family will be observed on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Jaynes Memorial Chapel located at 811 S. Cockrell Hill Road in Duncanville.

Abby could be described by many words, but if you had to choose one, it would be love. She was a lover of life, family, friends and Jesus. Words seem like an unfair medium to describe her. If anyone new how to brighten your day, it was Abby. Was she late everywhere she went? Absolutely… that was part of who she was. But when she did show up, she would brighten the room. Between her love for her husband, Justin, her family and God, she still had room in her heart to truly care about anyone she met… even the stray cat she was taking care of. She had an amazing way about her that would make everyone who knew her feel special and loved. She is the light of our lives and she will be deeply missed.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” John 14:1-4 (NIV)

Abby was preceded in death by her grandmother, Pat Hitt; and great grandparents, Tom and Edna Horton, Syble Barclay, Jim and Anne Eastham and Bob and Mabel Hankins.

Abby is survived by her loving husband, Justin Boone; parents, Tony and Jennifer Hankins; father and mother-in-law, John and Sandra Boone; grandparents, Gerald Hitt, Larry and Aneta Hankins, David and Michael Rollins and Hoyt and Carolyn Boone; Abby’s “Bubba”, Taylor Hankins and her sister-in-law, Asami Tamura; brothers-in-law, Greg Boone and Jeff Boone and his wife, Brandy; sister-in-law, Amiee Boone; her nieces and nephews whom Abby adored, Iris, Brooklyn, Emily, Hunter, Paisley, Logan, Aubrey and Riley; and a host of many loving and caring friends that meant the world to Abby.
